Kerry ETB Training Centre to host Masterclass with award-winning DoP PJ Dillon

The National Digital Skills Centre at The Kerry Training Centre is running a practical Cinematography Masterclass with the award-winning DoP PJ Dillon, as part of their on-going Dawn Workshops series.

This four day Masterclass is for cinematographers and camera operators who want to understand the preparation and practice involved in achieving a high-end cinematic look.

One of the more prolific Irish DoP’s working in film and drama, PJ Dillon recently received his fourth IFTA nomination in a row for his work on ‘Vikings’ and he has received a massive 10 nominations overall. He has previously won IFTA Awards for ‘Ripper Street’, ‘The Runway’ and ‘32A’, also garnering nominations for ‘Timbuktu’, ‘Kings’, ‘An Ranger’ and ‘Game Of Thrones’. He also received a Best Director nomination in 2011 for ‘Rewind’ which starred Allen Leech and Amy Huberman. Dillon was also nominated for a very prestigious ASC Award in 2015 for his work on the ‘Vikings’ episode “Blood Eagle”.

Recent work of Dillon’s include the Irish/Australian mystery drama ‘Strangerland’ - starring Oscar winner Nicole Kidman – as well as episodes of Irish shot series ‘Penny Dreadful’ and ‘Game of Thrones’.

The Masterclass with PJ Dillon will take place from the 16th-19th May and the cost to attend is €290. Places are limited.
