‘Moon Dogs’ is currently shooting in Scotland
Irish co-production ‘Moon Dogs’, described as a coming of age road trip drama, has commenced its shoot in Scotland.

Co-produced by Dominic Wright and Jacqueline Kerrin of Ripple World Pictures and partially funded by the Irish Film Board, ‘Moon Dogs’ is an Irish/Scottish/Welsh co-production that tells the story of two teenage stepbrothers - Michael (Jack Parry Jones) and Thor (Christy O’Donnell) - on a road trip from Shetland to Glasgow, and the enigmatic Caitlin who comes between them.

Irish actress Tara Lee plays the lead female role of Caitlin. Lee has previously had small roles in Irish television dramas ‘Raw’ and ‘The Fall’ as well as Irish co-production ‘Jimi: All Is By My Side’.

‘Moon Dogs’ will film throughout Scotland during the summer. The film is directed by Philip John and written by Raymond Friel and Derek Boyle. The editor is Tony Kearns and post will be at EGG in Dublin.

Aside from Ripple World Pictures, the film is being produced by Kathy Speirs and Suzanne Reid with Ken Marshall serving as Executive Producer.

The film was developed by the Scottish Playwrights Studio, Creative Scotland and Ffilm Cymru Wales, with production funding from Creative Scotland, Ffilm Cymru Wales and the Irish Film Board.
