DKIT are running two springboard animation courses starting in September, with the closing date for applications being Friday, 5th June.
As seen last week by Cartoon Saloon’s ‘Song of the Sea’ winning Best Film at the IFTA’s after picking up an Oscar nomination earlier this year, the Irish animation industry is thriving and DKIT is running a Certificate in 2D/3D Digital Animation Production as well as a Certificate in 3D for Games.
The Certificate in 2D/3D Digital Animation Production will equip participants with skills in both 2D design & 3D computer animation, team work and project management. Students will gain vital knowledge of the production pipeline alongside software skills in programs such as Adobe PhotoShop, After Effects along with Maya and Adobe Premiere Pro.
The Certificate in 3D for Games will equip participants with skills in 3D modeling, animation, game concept development, project generation & management, along with key game theory principles. Students will gain vital software skills in programs such 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and the UE4.
Skills are transferable across both industries.
