Irish animated feature film ‘Two By Two’ to be released worldwide
01 May 2015 : Seán Brosnan
‘Two By Two’ was written by Irish writers Richard Conroy and Mark Hodkinson and co-written by Galway based writer Marteinn Thorisson
Irish animated co-production ‘Two by Two - Ooops... The Ark Has Gone’ – which is released to 426 Irish and UK cinemas today – will also be released in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand by distributors eOne.

Following the adventures of the animals who didn't get on Noah's Ark, the comedy adventure for kids and families was developed and produced by Moe Honan of Moetion Films in Galway. It was supported by the Irish Film Board and was co-produced with Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium.

The film was written by Irish writers Richard Conroy and Mark Hodkinson and co-written by Galway based writer Marteinn Thorisson.

Directed by Sean Mc Cormack and Toby Genkel, ‘Two by Two - Ooops... The Ark Has Gone’ will be distributed in Europe and worldwide during 2015/16.

The film features the voices of Tara Flynn, Paul Tylak, Alan Stanford, Chris Evans, Dermot Magennis, Aileen Mythen and Patrick Fitsymons as well as Irish child actors Callum Maloney and Ava Connolly of Maureen V Ward Talent Agency Ireland.

Producer and Owner of Moetion Films Moe Honan said: ‘It is thrilling for all involved to get this level of response to the film and see it get a theatrical release at home and in the UK. From the early days of developing the story with the writers and designers it felt like a special project. We were kept very busy over last two years in the production phase working with the voice talent, with the animation team here in Galway, with composer Stephen McKeon and the RTE orchestra and the sound teams at Ardmore Sound and Lime Sound.’

‘Now it’s time to let the film fly and we hope that it does and that it will delight and entertain little people and not so little people for some time to come.’

‘Two By Two’ is in Irish cinemas from May 1st. Check out our interview with some of the sound team at Ardmore Sound/Screen Scene about their work on the film here.
