Five Minutes with HOUSE Post Production
06 Jan 2015 :
IFTN caught up with HOUSE Post Production to learn about a busy 2014 that saw HOUSE work on the globally watched sporting event The Ryder Cup amongst others and lets us in on what looks set to be a very busy 2015 for the Dublin based post house.

IFTN: What have been the key shows/films/docs/dramas that you worked on in 2014?

I was really pleased to work on the trailer for a most memorable documentary to come through HOUSE, ‘One Million Dubliners’. It is a wonderful piece of documentary work by Rachel Lysaght and Aoife Kelleher. Another trailer I was involved with was Ross Whitaker’s truly inspiring story of the Unbreakable Mark Pollock. A major highlight of 2014 was of course, The Ryder Cup with NBC Sports. The Gleneagles in Perthshire, Scotland provided a stunning backdrop to the tournament and the European win was an added bonus. Dave McSavage has also continued to bring shock and laughter to the walls of HOUSE with ‘Savage Eye’.

What have been the highlights of 2014 for HOUSE?

2014 has been a year of expansion for HOUSE beginning with the acquisition of an additional Penthouse Suite, now bringing the total to five. I have also employed a new Facilities Manager, Fiona Byrne, another in-house and very talented editor Arnaud Rigaud plus a new Assistant Editor, Blaine Sweeney.

Did you have any programs in the Christmas television schedule?

We are very excited to be working closely with CoCo Television on several projects one being ‘Totes Amazeballs’, which broadcast over Christmas.

What’s in store for the first quarter of 2015?

The early months of 2015 include a brand new series from the people who brought us ‘Fade Street.’ ‘Exiles’ follows a group of young Irish people making the big move to Vancouver as they try to land their dream jobs, while all living together in the same house. ‘Exiles’ is currently being cut in HOUSE and will be on television’s around the country in January. Soon after that we will see Jennifer Maguire and Darren Kennedy's present a new lifestyle transformation program ‘The Unemployables’, another CoCo production. 2015 will also include an exciting new venture which is due to be announced in the new year.
