The online registration for the upcoming edition of the European Film Market 2014, started on the 1st of November 2013 and will be available until January 6, 2014.
The European Film Market (EFM) runs for nine days as part of the Berlinale, one of the most important film festivals in the world.
The EFM is the first major film event of the year and it is a magnet for international industry professionals. It is seen as a barometer for the upcoming year in film.
The next EFM takes place from February 6th to 14th, 2014, in the renaissance exhibition hall of the Martin-Gropius-Bau and in the EFM Marriott Offices and Stands, both close to the festival headquarters at Potsdamer Platz in the heart of Berlin.
Last year’s event was attended by 19,630 accredited visitors from 124 countries attended the Festival, including 3,694 representatives of the press.
A total of 816 films were shown at 1,166 presentations in the EFM’s 40 screening venues; almost 600 of them were market premieres.
Irish films which screened at last year’s event include ‘The Stag’, ‘Love Eternal’, ‘Kelly + Victor’, ‘Frank’, Jump’, ‘Life’s a Breeze’, ‘Men at Lunch’ ‘The Good Guide to Love’, Last Days on Mars’, ‘Calvary’ and ‘The Good Man’.
The Irish Film Board will have a stand at EFM 2014 and will be organising a number of events to promote Irish film and Ireland as a film location.
