The Marketplace at the Galway Film Fair - one of the focal points of the Galway Film Fleadh - is set to take place from 11-13th July and has extended its deadline for applications to Friday 31st May, due to overwhelming demand.
Anyone with a completed film, documentary or project in development, who would like to participate in the Marketplace, can complete an application form - available online - and return it with a 100 word typed synopsis of the project before the end of the month.
The Galway Film Fair presents an opportunity to meet some of the world’s leading financiers in the film industry in an environment ideally suited for new talent to be discovered and new business partnerships to be made.
Priority will be given to completed films; projects which have a finished screenplay available; and projects with a high percentage of development money secured – granting them access to film financiers, distributors, sales agents, broadcasters, film funds and major producers.
Industry guests who have attended in recent years include representatives of Warner Bros, Walt Disney Studios, Sony Pictures Classics, the Weinstein Company, Studiocanal, Universal Pictures, BBC Films, the Irish Film Board, BAI, Film 4, Fox Searchlight, Paramount Villages, New Line Cinema, Pathé, UK Film Council, TV, ITV and many more.
This year’s Galway Film Fleadh will take place from 9th to 14th July, with the Film Fair running from 11th to 13th July.
