The Guth Gafa festival will host the Next Generation student short documentary competition.
This is the second time that Guth Gafa will host this unique competition. The winner of this particular competition will receive an industry-sponsored production and post-production package that will enable the winner to make their own film in 2013/2014.
Next Generation is a competitive programme of up to 10 outstanding short documentaries (maximum 10 mins) on the theme of human rights and or social and environmental issues, from Irish media students in their final undergraduate year, or on a postgraduate course. An international jury of 3 attending industry experts or filmmakers will choose the best of these student documentaries.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 26th and selected films will be shown during the 7th Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival, which runs from May 16th-19th. For more information on the competition, click here.
