American actor John Finn
Filming is underway in Connemara on ‘An Bronntanas’, a five-part thriller produced by ROSG & De facto films.

‘An Bronntanas’ is notable for it’s casting of American actor John Finn, known for his turn as Lt. John Stillman on hit US drama series ‘Cold Case’, who will also speak in Irish for the programme.

Finn will be acting alongside Dara Devaney (‘Raw’, ‘Camelot’), Owen McDonnell (‘Saving the Titanic’, ‘Mount Pleasant’), Pól Ó Gríofa (‘Ros na Rún’, ‘Deception’), Michelle Beamish (‘An Crisis’, ‘Rásaí na Gaillimhe’), and newcomer Janusz Sheagall.

The series is set against the backdrop of a local independent lifeboat crew working off the coast of Connemara. When the rescue team discovers millions of euros worth of drugs on board a fishing boat, they must decide what moral path to choose.

The series will be directed by Tom Collins (Kings) and produced by Ciarán Ó Cofaigh and Tom Collins for ROSG and De facto films.

'An Bronntanas' is funded by TG4, The BAI, Bord Scannán na hÉireann and Northern Ireland Screen/ Irish Language Broadcast Fund and will be screened on TG4 in 2014.
