Post-production is underway on Galway-based feature film ‘Weak End’, which is due for completion in the new year.
The film, described as a “melodrama” by producers, was shot with an entirely Galway-based cast and crew, and deals with subjects such as bioethics and emphysema.
The film was shot in Galway city over the month of May, with ‘The Companion’ director Oisin MacCoille directing.
MacCoille also co-wrote the script with French actor Dominique Monot, and both men co-produced for Frogman Films and Everchanging Productions.
Galway-based DoP Kamil Krawczak also worked on the feature, with a Galway cast, including Michelle Cronin, Pat Murphy, and Monot himself.
Producer Monot told IFTN: “Our intentions now are to finish the project and submit it to film festivals in 2013. Any advice or support from professionals in the industry would be very welcome. A copy of the first cut could be made available to the right individuals.”
