The first trailer for Irish-based actor Daniel Day-Lewis’ forthcoming movie ‘Lincoln’ has been released by Twentieth Century Fox and Dreamworks.

The much-anticipated biopic from director Steven Spielberg sees two-time Oscar-winner Day-Lewis (My Left Foot, There Will Be Blood) play former US president Abraham Lincoln with the drama focussing on his tumultuous final months in office during the US civil war.

‘Lincoln’ is due to be released in Ireland on January 25.
