The Gréasán na Méan Skillnet in the Connemara Gaeltacht is inviting applications for a one-month web TV course in association with Galway Arts Festival TV.
The full-time course – part of the Job Seekers Support Programme (JSSP) - will run for the month of July 2012.
It will deal with how broadcasting and publishing function on the web, with the course primarily aimed at young, unemployed graduates.
The course will include tutorial and workshops with experienced media practitioners including Cathal Goan (ex RTÉ director general), Dave O' Connell (editor of Connaught Tribune), Glen Mulcahy (production development manager RTÉ) and Andrea Martin (legal affairs media consultant).
The first two weeks comprises of tutorials and workshops while the second two weeks involves supervised practical work experience - filming and editing for the web - on GAF TV, the Galway Arts Festival online video channel.

The Gréasán na Méan Skillnet represents a core of the media industries based in the Connemara Gaeltacht. At present their network membership is at 61 companies. The network is led by the network promoter Maire Boyle of Eo Teilifís.
