The Odeon group has announced that it is to re-brand its nine multiplexes in Ireland in a move which will see its UCI and Storm cinemas re-named as Odeon multiplexes.
The change in branding follows the opening of its €6m Odeon Point Village on March 27. The group will spend around €1m in converting the rest of its Irish cinemas.
They include four UCI multiplexes in Dublin and five Storm cinemas across the rest of the country. These nine multiplexes host 62 Irish screens in total.
The re-branding of the screens had been mooted at the time the group opened its 1,011-seat cinema at The Point Village, which features the first ISENSE screen in the UK or Ireland.
