Cultural Landmark Documentary Deadline Approaching
10 Apr 2012 : By Eva Hall
The deadline for applications for the Northern Ireland Screen-supported Cultural Landmark Documentary is fast approaching at 30 April 2012.

Northern Ireland Screen will support the winning documentary with the use of Lottery Funds provided through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The documentary will be a production of a Northern Ireland-based production company for development for the financial year 2012-2013.

The scheme is inspired by timeless documentaries which Northern Ireland Screen says are rarely made in the current commissioning climate. The documentary would ideally be a significant addition to Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive.

When submitting an application, candidates must have a national or international broadcaster attached to the project, with a clear demonstrable financial plan. Northern Ireland Screen will invest 50% of the agreed production budget, or £100,000. The project must be ready to go into production before 31 December 2012, and be produced by a Northern Irish production company.

For an application form and more details visit www.northernirelandscreen.co.uk. The deadline fro submissions is 05.00pm 30 April 2012.
