Celebrity Come Dine With Me Ireland makes its hotly anticipated return to our screens next Monday, 9 April.
The TV3/UTV production, based on the hit Channel 4 format by Granada Television, became a huge hit with Irish viewers when the celebrity-based version aired earlier this year. The charity-driven show saw Irish musician Brian Kennedy and showbiz journalist Paul Martin engage in a series of blazing rows over a week-long period. At the height of the tensions Kennedy threw a glass of red wine over Martin during former ‘Fair City’ star George McMahon’s dinner party.
This series will feature Irish models Madeline Mulqueen, of Rubberbandits’ ‘Horse Outside’ video fame, Rory McIlroy’s former girlfriend Holly Sweeney and television presenter Brian Ormond’s wife Pippa O’Connor. Joining them in a chance to win €5,000 for a charity of their choice is publisher Michael O’Doherty and former rugby player Shane Byrne.
TV3 promises explosive scenes when the series kicks off at 9pm on Monday, with O’Doherty starting off the week with a dig at Byrne’s mullet hairstyle, and Sweeney being accused of being a ‘celebrity’ by association only.
