The Fingal Film Festival has set the deadline for submission for next year’s festival at 1 September 2012. Festival organisers are already prepping for 2013 having wrapped up a hugely successful three-day event last week. The festival held master classes for independent filmmakers with some if the industry’s leading experts, from Arthur Lappin (In America/Borstal Boy), who has over 25 years producing experience, to writer and director Aisling Walsh (Song for a Raggy Boy) to cinematographer Ciarán Tanham (Raw) and newcomer Martin McCann (Clash of the Titans).
Managing director of the festival Liz Kenny said: “It was an amazing experience and all the people who worked to make it happen are very proud to be part of it.”
Both Liz and Dave Byrne, creative director of the festival, believe next year’s Fingal Film Festival will be even bigger and better following the launch of the Youth Film Festival and Prestigious Sponsorship Awards.
