IFTA Award-winning Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson is in talks to star in a Working Title Films production about time-travel.
‘About Time’ is being dubbed as a low-budget dramedy and will be directed by Richard Curtis (Love Actually).
If the former ‘Harry Potter’ actor signs on the dotted line, he will play Tom, a member of a time-traveller family who uses his time-travelling skills to change certain situations for the better.
‘New Girl’ star Zooey Deschanel is also in talks with Working Title Films to play Tom’s love interest Mary.
Tim Bevan, Working Title Films’ co-founder, will produce ‘About Time’ along with current Working Title Films partner Eric Fellner. The production company previously worked with Curtis on ‘The Boat That Rocked’.
Gleeson has had previous success playing Bill Weasley in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ Parts 1 and 2, and starred alongside his father Brendan Gleeson in 2009’s ‘Perrier’s Bounty’.
The younger Gleeson’s next film release is an updated version of comic book character Judge Dredd, in which he co-stars alongside Karl Urban (The Bourne Supremacy) who plays the role of Judge Dredd.
‘Dredd’, which will be produced by Danny Boyle’s DNA Films and distributed in 3D and directed by Pete Travis, director of ‘Vantage Point’, is due for release in September this year.
