Celebrating ‘The Shore’s win a the recent Academy Awards, Dublin’s Screen Cinema has programmed a feature length screening of selected award winning Irish short films – offering Irish audiences a rare opportunity to enjoy these productions on the big screen.
Highlights of the programme include this year’s Oscar winner, ‘The Shore’ by writer-director Terry George (Hotel Rwanda, In The Name of The Father), as well as ‘Penetcost’ by writer-director Peter McDonald (star of I Went Down and When Brendan Met Trudy), which was also nominated at the 2012 Academy Awards. Martin McDonagh’s IFTA and Oscar winner ‘Six Shooter’ will be shown, as well as director Juanita Wilson's ‘The Door’ and audience animated short ‘Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty’ by writer-director team Kathleen O'Rourke and Nicky Phelan.
