IFTA winning Irish actor Michael Fassbender (Shame, Jane Eyre) is set to take the lead role in ‘The Counselor’ the latest feature from director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Thelma & Louise).
Michael Fassbender will play a respected lawyer who naively enters the drug trade. The film follows Fassbender’s character as one bad decision sees him sucked deeper into a desperate situation.
The project carries exceptional buzz as ‘The Counselor’ is the first screenplay penned by Pulitzer Prize winning US novelist Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men, The Road).
Two key female leads and one “villain” lead role are yet to be cast with deadline.com tipping Jeremy Renner or Bradley Cooper as Fassbender’s possible nemesis. May production dates currently scheduled
