Oscar-winning screenwriter and ‘Downton Abbey’ creator, Julian Fellowes, will lend his support to Cinemagic’s latest competition Cast Away as a judge on the panel in spring 2012.
Cinemagic are now calling for entries for the competition for young people. The pod-cast competition is aimed to commemorate the centenary of the Titanic voyage and is being organised by Cinemagic Film Festival and Titanic Belfast.
Young people are being asked to participate in this multi-media event and submit a short video/film pod-cast, themed around Titanic. The genre of the pod-cast can take any form- fact or fiction, contemporary or period drama, news programme or documentary
The competition will be broken into three categories, 10-14, 15-17 and 18-25 years old and the prize includes film and television set visits, as well as a week long scholarship New York Film Academy for the 18-25yr old category.

We are also honoured to have Julian Fellowes involved in the initiative and since Cinemagic’s ethos is to inspire and motivate young people through moving image.”
