Irish actor Chris ODowd (Bridesmaids, The Boat That Rocked) is to replace James Nesbitt as the host of 14th annual Moet British Independent Film Awards
The awards aim to celebrate the merit and achievement in independently funded British filmmaking. The BIFA jury has also been announced and includes producer Andrew Eaton (Junkhearts, 360), director Josh Appignanesi (Song of Songs, The Infidel)and actress Gemma Arterton (Astonish Me, Tamara Drewe) to name but a few.
Irish actors Michael Fassbender (Shame, X-Men; First Class) and Brendan Gleeson (The Guard, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows-Part 1 )are also both up for the Best Actor category at the awards for their roles in Shame and The Guard respectively.
The awards will take place on the 4th December in Old Billingsgate in London.
