‘Bulletin TV’, the second instalment of the RTE extreme sports series, hits screens on Thursday 10 November, with all footage used in the series now available on the Red Bull content pool. Producers, websites and broadcasters can download any of the footage or photographs for free at
www.redbullcontentpool.com, along with footage from TV series, documentaries and profiles taken around the world.
Among the content available on the site is extreme sports footage, music performances and behind the scenes interviews, available for producers to download and use in news content, documentaries, or for any other related programmes or websites.
''This is alternative sports at its best,” said series producer Martin Gaughan of Coco Television, “we've travelled around the world to events such as X-Fighters in Sydney, Cliff Diving in Boston and Manny Mania in New York all the time meeting athletes that push themselves that little bit further towards achieving feats that are simply not the norm and for that reason it makes gripping television.”
“With extreme sports you are always striving to capture images in a fresh and dynamic way so its crucial to give each shoot the time and resources it deserves to produce content that is truly outside of the box.”
Airing on RTÉ Two at 8pm on Thursdays, the adrenaline fuelled show looks at high octane and extreme sports events around the world, meeting some of the world's brightest stars and biggest risk takers along the way. Series 2 of the show takes its presenters around the world but also showcases events from around Ireland.
Presented by Aidan Power (The Café) and newcomer Daniella Moyles, the series also meets some of Ireland's brightest music talent such as The Kanyu Tree & The Minutes. ''This is about showcasing Irish bands in a setting that's personal to them, bringing them back to their roots for a live performance where it all began,'' said Gaughan.
