Rugby pundit Brent Pope embarks on a charity mission for Habitat for Humanity Ireland in Zambia in a one off doc to be broadcast on RTÉ One.
Directed and produced by Michael Sheridan (Climb for Kids) for Irish charity Habitat for Humanity, the half an hour show sees RTÉ’s Kiwi rugby pundit and Irish rugby legend Malcolm O’Kelly travel to Zambia.
The show filmed last June on location in Dublin and Africa and was shot and edited by Sheridan using a Sony Z1 and Final Cut Pro. It is hoped that the television exposure will help Habitat inspire further fundraisers.
In Zambia, the pair took part in a home building mission and also took time out to train some local kids in the finer points of rugby. Habitat for Humanity Ireland sends volunteers on short term placements to help local families build homes in almost 100 countries worldwide.
‘Brent Pope’s Habitat’ will be shown on RTÉ One this October 15th at 3.50pm
