Dublin-based format specialists Vision Independent Productions (VIP) have signed an option deal for original children’s entertainment format ‘Who Are You Kidding?’ to LA producer The Gurin Company.
The format features youngsters nominating teenage friends or relations to sing, dance and act on their behalf in front of a huge theatre audience.
Two series of the format have already been shown on RTÉ, who recently exhibited the show at the CMC festival in Sheffield. ‘Who Are You Kidding?’ also appeared on the WIT List at the Cannes MIP Festival in 2010.
CEO of VIP, Philip Kampff commented on the deal saying “Who Are You Kidding is about music, dance and comedy, so to have an entertainment producer like Phil Gurin getting behind the show means it can only go one way bigger.”
