Home entertainment and communications company UPC has announced that it has appointed Carat Ireland as its media buying agency for the next three years. Four of Ireland’s leading agencies, Initiative Media, Mindshare, Starcom and Carat Ireland, pitched for the contract with Carat Ireland ultimately winning the tender process.
Carat Ireland will now handle media planning and buying for UPC, whilst Irish International will be in charge of the creative development of company campaigns. Ciaran Cunningham, CEO of Carat Ireland commented on the decision, saying: “We are delighted to have won the tender as it reaffirms the capability and experience in Carat Ireland in building and developing global brands and we look forward to strengthening our business relationship with UPC and their marketing team for the duration of our contract.”
The appointment of Carat Ireland coincides with an additional contract signing with Ipsos MRBI who will continue to carry out national consumer research on behalf of UPC. For more information visit www.upc.ie
