’Paperman’ Canadian Festival Win
Irish short animated film, ‘Paperman’ walked away from the Canada International Film Festival (2 – 3 April) with the prize for Best Animation. The short has enjoyed further success recently with the news that it has been selected to screen at the Melbourne International Animation Festival, the British Independent Film Festival in Dorset, UK and Brussels Children's Film Festival.
Directed by Richard Kelly and co-written by Richard and Séan Ryan, ‘Paperman’ sees a lone man's quest to find his true love in a busy paper metropolis. The short was produced with funding support from the Frameworks’ programme, a joint initiative between BSÉ/IFB, RTÉ and the Arts Council.
