'Camelot' First Look Preview with Morgan O'Sullivan
30 Mar 2011 :
IFTA Members are set to get a sneak preview at the first two episodes of new epic Arthurian series, ‘Camelot’ on Wednesday, April 6th in Dublin. The special preview screening will be attended by members of the show’s crew and will be followed by a Q&A session with producer Morgan O’Sullivan.

‘Camelot’ will premiere at MIPTV in Cannes on Monday, April 4th and following this IFTA Members will have the opportunity to view the first two episodes of this series before it airs in the UK or Ireland.

Produced for US cable giant Starz, ‘Camelot’ shot in and around the Wicklow countryside for six months in 2010. ‘Camelot’ is based on Thomas Malory’s 15th century book, ‘Le Morte d’Arthur’ and looks to bring the saga of King Arthur to modern audiences. The series’ starry cast includes Joseph Fiennes (Flash Forwad), Eva Green (Cracks), Jamie Campbell Bower (Sweeney Todd), Tamsin Egerton (Chalet Girl), Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black) and Peter Mooney (Summer’s Blood).

The epic series is a co-production between the Irish production company Octagon Films and Take 5 Productions in Canada, and is executive produced by Ecosse Films’ Douglass Rae (Nowhere Boy), Academy Award winning producer Graham King (The Departed,), Tim Headington (The Young Victoria) and Craig Cegielski. It was estimated that the ‘Camelot’ brought an estimated $32million in to the Irish industry.

Producer Morgan O’Sullivan , MD of World 2000 Entertainment, has brought several large scale productions to Ireland including ‘Braveheart’, ‘Reign of Fire’ and ‘The Tudors’. He received an IFTA for his Outstanding Contribution to the Irish Industry at this year’s awards show . O’Sullivan will be joined by selected ‘Camelot’ crew in Q&A with IFTA Members and their guests.

The special preview event is free and exclusive to IFTA Members.
