‘Na Cloigne’ (The Heads), a new three part Irish language drama for TG4, directed by Robert Quinn (Cré na Cille) and produced by Ciarán Ó Cofaigh at Galway based production company ROSG, will commence filming this Monday 30th March until 8th May in various locations around Conamara.
‘Na Cloigne’ is a supernatural thriller which tells the story of a young couple, Seán and Nuala, both ‘ordinary decent people’ who become embroiled in the horrible and gruesome murders of two young women.
Confirmed cast for the six week shoot include Darach Ó Dubháin, Barry McGovern, Siobhán Ní Cheallaigh and Mac dara Ó Fátharta. Irish crew enlisted are DOP Micheál Ó Dubháin; Production Designer, Mags Linnane; Costume Designer, Aisling Wallace- Byrne; Line producer, Mick Walsh; Locations, Declan O’Toole and editor, Conall de Cléir with editing facilities supplied by ROSG.
The 3 x 50 min drama is is written by Lauren MacKenzie and Darach Ó Scolaí with funding by TG4, the IFB, BCI and private investment through Section 481 and will air on TG4.
