Samson Films Irish / Slovakian / Czech Republic co-production ‘Little Foxes’, written and directed by Mira Fornayova, has begun a four week shoot on location in Bray, Co. Wicklow. The film stars Aaron Monaghan (Deep Breaths, Ella Enchanted) and Jonathan Byrne (Fair City, The Honeymooners).
The film tells the story of a Slovakian au pair who comes to live in Dublin on the insistence of her sister, who has married an Irishman. The two sisters carry a dark secret from their home country, which manifests itself in the form of a strange new friend in Dublin. ‘Little Foxes’ also stars Czech / Slovakian actors Reka Derzsiova, Jitka Joskova and Rita Banci. DOP on the shoot is Tomás Sysel.
‘Little Foxes’ began production on 20th July 2008. Producers on the film are Brian Willis (Short Order), Samson Films’ David Collins, Juraj Buzalka for Slovakia’s Miras and Viktor Schwartz from the Czech Republic’s Cineart. ‘Little Foxes’ is funded by the Irish Film Board, Eurimages, Czech TV, the Czech and Slovak Film Fund and Section 481.
