Cillian Murphy Named In Rising Star Shortlist

Cillian Murphy (Breakfast On Pluto, The Wind That Shakes the Barley) has been nominated for the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award.
Cillian Murphy (Breakfast On Pluto, The Wind That Shakes the Barley) has been nominated for the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award.

The Irish actor will compete with fellow thesps Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada), Eva Green (Casino Royale), Naome Harris (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Ben Winshaw (Perfume) for the public vote.

The Rising Star Award has been set up in honour of the late Mary Selway, the highly respected BAFTA-winning casting director, this award recognises the cream of international acting talent.

The winner will be announced at the Orange British Academy Film Awards on 11 February 2007.
