Irish actor Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects, Wah-Wah) will join Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise), Christopher Plummer (A Beautiful Mind) and Max von Sydow (Minority Report) in the cast of ‘Emotional Arithmetic’ to be directed by ‘Relic Hunter’ helmer Paolo Barzman.
Adapted by Jefferson Lewis and Barzman from Matt Choen’s novel, the $5.8million film is scheduled to begin production on location in Quebec this October with Montreal-based BBR Productions and Toronto's Triptych Media developing the project.
The film tells the story of three people who are reunited 40 years after meeting each other in a concentration camp in France.
Byrne will play the character of Christopher Lewis, a former child inmate who is haunted by the question “why was I spared?”
Triptych's Anna Stratton and Susan Girard of BBR are producing.
