Aiming to establish itself as Ireland’s premiere genre film festival, the Navan Film Festival, taking place in Navan next week, will screen a number of action, science fiction, fantasy and animation films and opens with the premiere of Irish martial arts movie ‘Fatal Deviation’.
“The Navan Film Festival was created to offer exposure to genre films which are often overlooked by the traditional festival circuit,” says Festival Director Paul Cotrulia. The festival will host the Irish premiere of international sci-fi shorts ‘Into the Maelstrom’, ‘Microgravity’ and ‘Cost of Living’.
Irish highlights at the festival will be the Irish premiere of fantasy short films ‘The Four Horsemen’ starring Ruth Negga (Breakfast On Pluto) and ‘Nowhere Man’ directed by Paul Webster.
