The Irish Film Board has announced the list of successful Frameworks projects, a short film funding scheme exclusively for animation which makes creative use of the medium and is primarily aimed at an adult audience.
Frameworks is funded by the Irish Film Board, RTE and the Arts Council. The 2006 successful projects are:
• ‘Charred and Feathered’ to be directed by Rory Byrneand and produced by Barry O’Donoghue in Barley Films. Barley Films previously produced the award winning short ‘Agricultural Report’.
• ‘The Blind Man’s Eye’ to be directed by Matthew Talbot-Kelly and produced by Michael Algar at Glimpse Digital.
• ‘An Cailleach Bheara' to be directed by Naomi Wilson and produced by Nessa King in Metropolitan Films. Naomi Wilson previously directed the frameworks short film ‘Among Strangers’ and ‘Rehy Fox'.
• ‘The Crumblegiant’ to be directed by John McCloskey and produced by Pearse Moore in Raw Nerve Productions.
The 2006 Frameworks will premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh in July 2007.
