The Production Depot celebrates its 2nd birthday this week in the midst of their busiest period to date. Their current list of projects includes the feature films ‘Becoming Jane’, ‘Shrooms’, ‘Puffball’, ‘Holy Water’, ‘13’ and the TV drama ‘Murphy’s Law’.
Since its establishment in May 2004, The Production Depot has grown from strength to strength in tandem with the changing Irish film and television industry. In recent months the Depot has provided services for the Irish features ‘In Like Flynn’, ‘Dragnet’ and ‘Pride and Joy’ in addition to the TV dramas ‘Legend’, ‘Fallout’ and ‘Hide and Seek’.
Television production and commercials work has also flowed steadily with a wide range of projects completed; their most recent promos include ‘Tayto’ (shot on their D20) and ‘Easi Singles’.
Over the past two years, the Production Depot has expanded, welcoming new members to their team, and has become the leading supplier of equipment to the film and television industry in Ireland. The Production Depot can supply and service all formats from 35mm through to Mini DV. These formats include Hi Def (including the Arri D20), Super 16mm, Digibeta and DVCam. Their experienced team is outfitted to package equipment including Cameras, Accessories, Grip Equipment, Lighting and Generation to suit individual projects.
Keeping abreast with technological advancements, The Production Depot supplies the most up to date facilities, the latest film equipment and has firmly established itself as the primary supplier of HD equipment. Most recently the company has acquired two sets of Zeiss Master Primes which are debuting in Ireland on two major feature films. Also the Arri D20 film style digital camera has been tested for two upcoming feature films with more tests planned in the coming weeks.
