Subotica Pictures is currently shooting an Irish-Canadian co-production in Newfoundland.
Now on day 13, the production of the 8 hour tv series is a co-production in Ireland between Subotica Films ('Night Train') and Full Works Media, Les Kelly's (ex Irish Film Board) first independent production. Directed by John Smith ('Dangerous Minds'), the series stars Colm Meany and Cork-newcomer Aoife McMahon. This is Aoife's first production, fresh from RADA. The production moves to Ireland on September 4.
In pre-production is 'Song for a Raggy Boy', starring Aidan Quinn and Iain Glenn (fresh from 'Blue Room' with Nicole Kidman). Adapted by Aisling Walsh and Kevin Byron Murphy, the film will be directed by Aisling Walsh ('Joyriders', 'Trial and Retribution'). John Lynch continues his work with Subotica after 'Night Train' with the ongoing Abbey documentaries, for delivery in 2004.
