The Dublin Film Festival has announced a call for submissions for its 15th annual event, this year sponsored by Miller. Traditionally reaching a global reach in its shorts section, this year it has focused its attention specifically on the French and UK production sector as well as home grown talent in their Irish Shorts intake. The closing date for Irish entries in the Shorts section is 31 January and for the UK and French entries, 17th January.
Entries should be submitted on VHS with both Pal and NTSC formats accepted. There is no application form at this stage, so only a viewing copy is needed. If the film is subsequently selected an entry form will be forwarded to the entrant. If you require the return of the cassette entries, please include pre-paid packaging.
The festival is also open to receiving viewing tapes for possible features and documentaries on 35mm with the same closing dates as before.
