Cine Electric Starts on 'Home for Christmas' and 'Watermelon'
07 Nov 2002 :
'Ella Enchanted' is scheduled to finish at Ardmore Studios in a fortnight's time, and Cine Electric have started on three new productions in Ireland.
Cine Electric have started on three new productions in Ireland:

3rd November saw the beginning of shooting of 'Home for Christmas' for December Productions in Galway. Cine have supplied a full complement of generator and lighting equipment.

Cine Electric are also working on the new Samson/Granada production of 'Watermelon' (see Watermelon article today).

'Headrush', Shimmy Marcus' film, and a Zanzibar Production (Edwina Forkin), starts shooting on 12 November, with Cine providing lighting and generator on that shoot in Dublin.

'Ella Enchanted', for which Cine is providing all lighting equipment on the five stages at Ardmore, is scheduled to finish at Ardmore Studios in a fortnight's time.

This year’s “TV drama” jury viewed 39 programmes entered by 34 different broadcasters, representing 25 countries. Commenting on the winning film they said, “’Sunday’ proposes a human drama of great emotional impact, backed up by solid direction that sees beyond the specific conflict, to identify a value – justice – that is essential for co-existence and healthy relationships inside a constantly changing society, which is increasingly having to come to terms with the new and the different.”
