Margo Harkin’s documentary ‘Bloody Sunday: A Derry Diary’ will receive its World Premiere at the Belfast Film Festival (23 March - 1 April).
The documentary examines the course of the 1998 enquiry into Bloody Sunday from the point of view of the families of the victims until the delivery of the report expected in spring 2006.
‘Bloody Sunday: A Derry Diary’ is Margo Harkin’s third feature film as a director. Her previous credits include the 1990 fictional feature ‘Hush A Bye Baby’ and the 1998 documentary ’12 Days in July’.
Screening in the Maysles Brothers Feature Documentary Award programme, the 90 minute doco will screen alongside eight international titles vying for the coveted award. Also included is the Oscar nominated ‘Enron: The Smartest Guys in The Room’ and Rupert Murray’s controversial ‘Unknown White Male’.
‘Bloody Sunday: A Derry Diary’ screens on the 26th of March at 9.30 pm at Belfast’s Queens Film Theatre.
