Two new Irish short films, ‘The Death of Harry’ from director Tim Duggan and ‘No Strings’ from director Maria O'Loughlin, have wrapped shooting and are now in post production.
‘No Strings’, written and directed by Maria O’Loughlin, is a Galway Film Centre short film produced by Rachel Moriarty (Waterloo Dentures). First time director Maria has penned the darkly comic story of a cellist's struggle with his muse. The cellist is played by Peter Corry (The Clinic) and the muse by cabaret artist Camille O'Sullivan. DOP Declan Emerson shot the film on the Hi Def Sony 900 camera and the three day shoot took place at Ardmore Studios and the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin last month. ‘No Strings’ is currently in post production at Post It.
‘The Death of Harry’ is a new short fom Mercury Boy Films, directed by Toytown films commercials director Tim Duggan. The film stars Gary Hetzler (Killinaskully) and follows the fate of a booming managing director of a global corporation and his pet goldfish. Shot by DOP Paddy Jordan over one day in July the film is currently in post production.
