The deadline for applications to attend the Galway Film Fair has been extended until Friday, May 27th. The Galway Film Fair will take place from the 7th to the 9th of July during the Galway Film Fleadh which runs from the 5th to the 10th of July.
Galway Film Fair organisers co-ordinate pre-scheduled meetings between filmmakers with projects in development and invited Film Financiers, Distributors and Major Producers during the larger Galway Film Fleadh event. The fair looks to allow for filmmakers to meet with leading financiers in an informal atmosphere.
The annually event sees approximately 550 meetings organised during the two day event and around 80 Irish and European producers invited to pitch their projects to approximately 65 financiers. A project book will be available for all decision makers and in the case of completed films, viewing facilities will be available.
The deadline for the submission of participation applications was Friday, April 29th but this has now been extended until Friday, May 27th to allow for more submissions. Filmmakers with completed films/documentaries or a project in development who wish to participate in the event are asked to complete the application form available on the Galway Film Fair website and return it by May 27th along with the required €175 registration fee and a 100 word synopsis of their project.
Priority will be given to completed feature films or projects which have a finished screenplay available and a percentage of development and/or production finance already in place. Further details and the event’s application form are available on the Galway Film Fleadh website here: www.galwayfilmfleadh.com
