Northern Ireland Screen is sponsoring 10 writers to attend this year’s London Screenwriters' Festival from the 29th to the 31st of October. The event is an opportunity to get access to top names attending the festival and spend a few days networking with other writers, producers and commissioners. Applications are now being received by Northern Ireland Screen for ten full festival passes.
This is the first year of the London Screenwriters' Festival, which has taken up where the Cheltenham Screenwriters' Festival left off. Northern Ireland Screen is currently inviting local Northern Irish writers to apply for one of ten full festival passes that the group has.
There are strict criteria for those wishing to attend. Firstly applicants must be Northern Ireland resident for tax purposes. They also must have received a development award from Northern Ireland Screen for a feature film or television drama script and must have a feature or television drama project that is ready to be pitched as its progression will be the focus of the attendee’s time at the festival. The chosen writers must also be available to attend all three festival days.
Anyone who meets the criteria above and the further guidelines outlined at www.northernirelandscreen.co.uk should apply for a festival ticket by returning their completed application and monitoring form to:
