| The current commissioning guidelines for the 2010 – 2011 season are currently posted on the TG4 website www.tg4.ie. The last date for submissions is 1st October 2010.
Applicants are asked to note that changes in documentary and entertainment genres and submissions are invited for the development of a new drama series suitable for young audiences. From the upcoming round of commissions, TG4 will be encouraging providers to extend the volume i.e. longer running series, mini series etc, thereby enabling companies to sustain operations and employment over a longer period with consequent benefits and economies of scale.
The broadcaster will be encouraging applicants to submit proposals for longer running series; broaden the range of genres within their submissions and to consider opportunities for tailoring of existing programme material not already available in Ireland to suit TG4 audiences and the Irish language. TG4 has also said that it will welcome any other programme ideas that may not fall into the listed categories but that applicants believe will enrich the programme schedule.
