Maria Doyle Kennedy & Diarmuid de Faoite
Principal photography on the new Irish language drama ‘Corp is Anam’ will wrap this Friday, July 16th, in Galway after an eight week shoot. The four x one hour TG4 series, starring Diarmuid de Faoite (Padraic) and Maria Doyle Kennedy (The Tudors), tells the story of TV crime correspondent Cathal Mac Iarnáin, who determines to pursue the truth behind every story, regardless of its calamitous consequences.

’Corp & Anam’ looks to explore the many ills of contemporary Irish society with Cathal Mac Iarnáin (de Faoite) chasing stories of societal neglect, internet paedophilia, boy-racer recklessness and institutional corruption. Written and directed by Darach Mac Con Iomaire, designed by Nicola Moroney and produced for Galway-based Magamedia by Paddy Hayes (Éalú), ‘Corp & Anam’ was shot on the Red camera by Ruairí O’Brien (Five Minutes of Heaven) and will be edited in Furbo by Conall de Cléir (Na Cloigne).

The series was produced with funding from TG4, the BAI, Section 481 and the IFB and it is expected that ‘Corp & Anam’ will broadcast on TG4 in early 2011.
