Sónta Line-Up ‘Seit in Ibiza’ | The Irish Film & Television Network

Cameras have started to roll in Ibiza on ‘Seit in Ibiza’, a 25 minute documentary being shot as part of TG4's Cogar 2010 series. The documentary will focus on best friends Seán Tom Bán and Máirtín Ó Cualáin whom have spent their lives set dancing with their wives, sisters, Mary Folan and Angela Walsh.

The ‘Seit in Ibiza’ team will follow the set dancers’ story from Birmingham, England, to Ibiza to join the Irish diaspora and people who have flown from all over Ireland to Fleadh Ibiza for set dancing, trad, jazz, folk, entertainment and fun.

Produced by Sónta, it is hoped that the documentary will premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh. Produced by Loretta Ní Ghabháin and directed by Diarmuid Goggins (Nell). Director of Photography is Réamonn Mac Donncha and recording the sounds of the tapping feet and lively music at Fleadh Ibiza is Trevor McKenna (Des Bishop: Joy in the Hood). The edit will take place in Galway with Mikey Ó Flatharta Darba (The Brothers) editing.
