CR Entertainment Ltd has won the award for Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie in the Teen/Tween Category for ‘Aisling’s Diary’ at the Kidscreen Awards held in New York last night. The show tells the story of Aisling, an Irish-American teen who has just moved from Boston to Dublin, with her family.

‘Aisling’s Diary’ was first commissioned by RTÉ’s Young Peoples in 2008, with a one-off special and a second season being commissioned due to high ratings. Speaking from Kidscreen in New York series producer Triona Campbell commented: “Aisling’s Diary is part of the new and exciting wave of kids programming coming from Ireland and we are delighted with this international recognition at one of the most important events in the kids industry.”

CR Entertainment is an Enterprise Ireland client company and is participating in the Kidscreen Summit as part of the Enterprise Ireland trade mission to New York led by the Minister for Trade and Commerce Mr Billy Kelleher T.D. The series creator Nuno Bernardo (Sofia’s Diary) is attending a KidScreen panel event to discuss Bypassing TV.

In addition to the TV content the series is currently available also for mobile and on internet. An ‘Aisling’s Diary’ Book is also being sold by Penguin Book.
