Liam Neeson Takes On ‘Unknown White Male’ | The Irish Film & Television Network

’Unknown White Male’ centres around Neeson’s character, Dr. Martin Harris, who awakens after a car accident in Berlin to discover that his wife (January Jones) suddenly doesn’t recognise him and another man (Aidan Quinn) has assumed his identity. Ignored by disbelieving authorities and hunted by mysterious assassins, he finds himself alone, tired, and on the run. Aided by an unlikely ally (Diane Kruger), Martin plunges headlong into a deadly mystery that will force him to question his sanity, his identity, and just how far he’s willing to go to uncover the truth.

The film is being shot under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan) and is being produced by Joel Silver (The Matrix), under his Dark Castle Entertainment banner; Leonard Goldberg (Charlie’s Angels); and Dark Castle’s Andrew Rona (Equilibrium). Steve Richards (The Matrix Reloaded), Sarah Meyer and Peter McAleese (Bridget Jone’s Diary) are serving as the film’s executive producers, with Charlie Woebcken (V for Vendetta), Christoph Fisser (The Reader) and Henning Molfenter (The Pianist) co-producing. The screenplay is by Oliver Butcher (Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde) & Stephen Cornwell (Killing Streets) and Karl Gajdusek (Dead Like Me), based on the novel ‘Out of My Head’ by Didier van Cauwelaert. Flavio Martínez Labiano (Indiana Jone and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) is the film’s director of photography.

‘Unknown White Male’ is being shot entirely on location in Germany, with some filming being accomplished at Studio Babelsberg, the oldest large-scale studio complex in the world. Studio Babelsberg is also a co-producer on the film, under an agreement with Silver’s Dark Castle Entertainment. ‘Unknown White Male’ will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
