Award winning British writer/director Terence Davies (Children) will present an upcoming National Film School (NFS) lecture on Thursday, November 5th.

Described as “Britain's greatest living film director” by The Evening Standard, Terence Davies' credits include ‘Children’, ‘Madonna and Child’, ‘Death and Transfiguration’, ‘Distant Voices’, ‘Still Lives’ (which received a European Film Award nomination), ‘The Long Day Closes’, ‘The Neon Bible’, the BAFTA nominated ‘The House of Mirth’ and the documentary, ‘Of Time and the City’.

The National Film School Lecture Series is held in association with Bord Scannan na hEireann/the Irish Film Board. The NFS lecture series at IADT has previously welcomed participants such as Jim Sheridan, Neil Jordan, Sir Alan Parker, Oliver Stone, John Sayles, Stephen Frears, John Landis, and Krzysztof Zanussi (directors), Stephen Rea (actor), Maggie Renzi (producer), Alex McDowell and Luciana Arrighi (production designers), Seamus McGarvey BSC (cinematographer), Deborah Nadoolman (costume designer), Roddy Doyle and Jeffrey Caine (screenwriters), Caroline Leaf and Joanna Quinn (animators).
