Graham Linehan Up for BAFTA

Graham Linehan’s ‘The IT Crowd’ has received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for Best Situation Comedy. The awards will take place at the Royal Festival Hall on London's South Bank on Sunday April 26th.

The sitcom of which Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books) created, stars Irish actor Chris O’Dowd who plays an IT technician in a fictitious British corporation. O’Dowd will appear in the soon to be released ‘The Boat That Rocked’ directed by Richard Curtis (Love Actually) and the upcoming ‘Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel’.

Graham Linehan won the IFTA for Best Television Script for the CH4 series in February , as well as picking up an International Emmy Award for Best Comedy. Other nominees include ‘The Inbetweeners’ (C4/BWark Productions), ’Outnumbered’(BBC One/Hat Trick Productions) and ’Peep Show’ (C4/Objective Productions.
