‘Brideshead Revisited’ star Matthew Goode is set to star opposite Amy Adams (Doubt) in ‘Leap Year,’ the romantic comedy scheduled to shoot in Ireland in March.
Goode will play an Irish inn keeper who helps an American (Adams) on her travels across Ireland to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day. The film is to be directed by Anand Tucker (And When Did You Last See Your Father?).
Irish production company World 2000 Entertainment is co-producing with Spyglass Entertainment. Morgan O’Sullivan and James Flynn, producers behind features such as ‘King Arthur’, ‘P.S. I Love You’ and ‘Becoming Jane’, will head the Irish arm of the production.
Amy Adams is currently in the running for an Oscar for her supporting role in ‘Doubt’, while Goode will appear on Irish screens next in the comic book adaptation of ‘Watchmen’.
