Pierce Brosnan Filming Polanski Thriller

Pierce Brosnan Tweet Irish actor Pierce Brosnan (Mamma Mia!) is to star in Roman Polanski’s contemporary thriller ‘The Ghost’, alongside Ewan McGregor (The Island), Olivia Williams (Flashbacks of a Fool), Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City) and Tom Wilkinson (Michael Clayton). The film is to begin shooting in Berlin on February 4th. ’The Ghost’ is based on a novel by Robert Harris who helped adapt the book with Polanski. The story follows a former UK Prime Minister who, while in hiding, begins writing his memoirs and hires a professional ghostwriter after his right hand man dies. The young man's arrival proves to have political and devastating consequences. Filming will take place mainly in Studio Babelsberg as well as additional locations in Berlin which a range of international deals already closed on the distribution of the film.
